After our trip to Wisconsin in July, we had the opportunity to see a picture of our little peanut. He was growing and growing!
Knowing life was about to change, we decided to take a "Babymoon" to New York when Dave was invited for work. Dublin stayed with her Grammy and Auntie.
Later in the Fall, Dave experienced the excitement of playoff baseball close to home. He was fortunate enough to attend a game in each level of the playoffs, including a World Series game for the Texas Rangers. All those long years of fandom were rewarded (even though the other team was victorious.)
We had fun fall activities as a family this year. It remains my favorite time of year here, as there is so much to do and the weather is mild. We went to a farm round-up, pet day, the aquarium, art festivals, and more!
We had a wonderful Halloween and Thanksgiving with friends and family. After two false alarms, one just before Halloween and one just before Thanksgiving, we were ready to follow Jack's schedule. Dublin got to see Santa's village and the Christmas parade before Jack decided it was time to join us in early December.
Now our family has grown.
We were lucky enough to have everyone visit us for Christmas. We fought off illness and injury (Dublin had a trip to the ER and several of our visitors, then Dave and Dublin came down with a nasty cold) to have a great time together for the holidays with both sides of our family.
January saw us trying to adjust to our new schedule and figuring out how to balance our new family dynamics.
February brought snow and cozy times together.
Nana came down to visit us again at the end of February. We went to Galveston. All the kids did great!
Now we are ready to start going, going, going again, as Jack is already 3 months old and spring is starting to arrive here. We are looking forward to many more adventures this year!
